If you've just arrived here from JEANIE's BLOG
then you are on the correct path.
One of the stamp sets just I fell in love with when I first saw
the catalog is this set, Harvest Wreath D1662 (shown on page 13).
I immediately saw that this set could be way more versatile than it first appears. More than just a "Harvest" and "Thanksgiving" set, I knew that these stamps could easily be used to make a "Christmas" wreath and wreaths for many other occasions as well.
So first, I created the obvious, a traditional-looking Thanksgiving card:
This standard-size card (above) features the White Pines X7200B paper collection that is also featured in the Holiday Expressions Catalog. The ink colors I used include Champagne, Chocolate, Fern, and Sorbet. I loved discovering that these papers could so easily be utilized for more than just Christmas as well!! By adding just a little bit of Sorbet ink and Coral shimmer trimmer to the card, I included enough of an orange hue to give the card a more "Autumn-y" look and feel.
And, how cute are those pears?!! lol. I just love them.
The next standard-size card I made (above) also features the White Pines X7200B paper collection. This time the ink colors I used include Champagne, Chocolate, Fern, and Cranberry. I used the "Good Cheer" sentiment that is included in this stamp set, but could have also substituted a more Christmas-y sentiment from a variety of other stamp sets if I had chosen to. The pomegranates were stamped with Cranberry ink using the second generation stamp rolling technique.
Lastly, here is a side-by-side view of both cards (below) so you can see how similar (but different!) my cards are. I love to use one card layout design in multiple ways to come up with a variety of different cards. It's just so fun and easy to do!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing my creations!
