September Artwork featuring Cats & Bats!

So here are all of my latest
creations featuring the
CATS & BATS
paper collection!

...and I snuck in a few retired
paper scraps on the cards too
(can you spot them?).

First up, the four 12x12 layouts
I created using the
Workshops Your Way kit
(G1136)...

There's still time to make
these layouts with me
($32 per pre-cut kit
to create 4-12x12
layouts like shown),
on the following dates:
Saturday 9/23 (6pm-9pm)
Friday 9/29 (6pm-9pm)
Monday 10/9 (9am-Noon)

(Non-local customers can request
a pre-cut "kit-to-go!" The cost of
postage is a little extra. Please
contact me for details).

Next, these are the pre-cut cards I'm offering
at our card-making classes this month!
Cards are make as many as you want for
$2 each (bring/use your own adhesive).

The technique we will focus on
learning and improving this time
is watercoloring, so bring your water
brush and paints if you have them
(or just come and use mine if you
need to) on the following dates:
Saturday 9/23 (6pm-9pm)
Friday 9/29 (6pm-9pm)
Monday 10/9 (9am-Noon)

Lastly, here's a fun "interactive" pop-up card
that I also have as one of our card class options
(using this month's National Stamping Month
"From the Heart" stamp set and card kit!)
This card folds flat for mailing in an envelope,
but when you pull the sliding tab, the front
pops up revealing a hidden message underneath:

October Cards and Layouts (and one bonus card) featuring Swan Lake!!

THANK YOU to my lovely creative friends
who joined us for card class on Saturday evening 10/8!
(Sandra, Gloria, Jackie, Debbie, and Carolyn)!
As usual, I had a great time with you ladies!

These are the four new card designs I'm offering for the
making during October (plus one bonus card I just added)!
There are still two more dates this month to join us to make
any of these cards (or others from my pre-cut card buffet).

Upcoming October dates still include...
an all-day CREATE DATE and potluck
on Saturday 10/15 (10am-5pm)
and an afternoon CREATE DATE
on Sunday 10/23 (1pm-5pm).

Swan Lake Scrapbooking workshop participants
will also be joining our card-makers
to create their pages on these dates, so I expect a full
house, bustling with fun and laughter, on each date!
It's not too late to plan to join us if you want to
(please contact me to RSVP ASAP
though, as space is limited)!!

The bonus card (above), I designed for my friend Gloria, since she is in need of a "Retirement Card" soon. The "Happy For You" stamp set (C1660) shown here, includes a great variety of congratulatory sentiments that might be useful to you if you know anyone who has retired, been promoted or taken on a new job, graduated, adopted a child, welcomed a new baby, and/or moved into a new home. This stamp set is also available to purchase with sentiments in Spanish and/or French if you'd prefer! Gloria, you can expect to get one of these cards in your mailbox from me very soon! Enjoy!!

Lastly, here are the Swan Lake Scrapbooking layouts (below) that my scrapbooking workshop participants will be making with me this month as well! It's not too late for me to order additional kits (for the 23rd) if anyone else wants to join us!! Just $30 per kit (pre-cut for you by me) to create the three lovely Fall 12x12 layouts shown here!

September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy our
September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
featuring this month's SOTM:
Blessed Beyond Measure S1609

If you've just arrived here from
KATHY's BLOG
then you are on the correct path.

Today I'm sharing this simple standard-size card I created
featuring the Rustic Home and Jeepers Creepers papers.
You can see the Rustic Home paper collection on page 28 of
the Annual Inspirations Idea Book and Jeepers Creepers can be found
in our NEW Holiday Expressions Idea Book shown on pages 6-7
...click HERE to see them in the new Idea Books online now!

Here's my trick for making the bow: First, cut 7" of twine ribbon from the spool (Rustic Home Ribbon Pack). Then cut the ribbon in half down the center, so there are just three strands on each side. This will allow you to create TWO bows from one piece of ribbon and stretch your ribbon even farther. Tie the pieces into bows and attach with a mini glue dot.

Now you can continue on with hop...
and be inspired by more creativity
using this stamp set by visiting
next! Enjoy the hop!!

Our December Class Creations!!

Happy December everyone!!
This month I'm offering two different class dates/times
for you to choose from, as well as one scrapbooking project
and a large variety of cards you can make with me!
There's still time to get a few hand-made
Christmas cards done and ready to give!

Friday, December 11th (6-9pm)
and/or
Saturday, December 12th (1pm-5pm)
Please RSVP asap as space is limited
to no more than 10 guests on each date.

First, I'm showing you the FRAME IT UP!
(for Christmas) Scrapbooking Class page you can make...
This is a class/kit that I recently started offering that allows you to  change the page in this cute shadow-box frame each month to fit the current holiday/season! The class fee is $35 (the first time you attend) for a framed 12x12 decorative layout in a beautiful easy-to-change wall frame (your choice of Black or Colonial White frame)!

Then, additional classes/kits are JUST $7 for each additional single 12x12 page. In January we will create a Love/Valentine-themed page you can display in the same frame for just $7 and so on. For $5 more ($12 total), you have the option to create a simple 12x12 companion page also that coordinates with the framed page, so you can complete a two-page spread to add into an album when you are done displaying the single page in your frame.

Here's a closer view of this month's page so you can see the fun paper ruffle and dimensionality of the embellishments...

Next, I'm showing you some of the most recent card designs I've added to my variety of "Card-making Buffet" options. I try to design at least four new cards each month for you to choose from, but I have many leftover kits (pre-stamped) from prior months to choose from as well. I pre-cut all of the paper elements for each card and package them in little clear envelopes to create little "ready-to-stamp-and-assemble-kits" that you can purchase (for just $1.50 per card!) You simply choose the ones you want to make and create them with me during class time. Create just a few or a whole bunch (it's up to you)! Learn a variety of fun stamping techniques while adding just the cards you want and need to your own stash/collection for future mailing/giving.

My November Class Creations!

So, the month of November has just been flying by
and I realized that I hadn't yet been able to share any
of the artwork I created for my November "Frame It Up"
Scrapbooking Class and my November Card Classes!
So here they are...enjoy!!

This single 12x12 Fall page design was inspired by the Annual Inspirations Idea Book (page 118).  The papers I used were some of the leftover retired papers I had in my stash (Pathfinding and Flirty).  All of the stamps I used and most of the cuts were made using the Cricut Artistry collection (fall images on page 44).  The wreath was cut from Olive cardstock at 10.75".  The Desert Sand leaves (dry embossed and sanded) were cut at 3".  The Goldrush (Flirty patterned paper) and Chocolate leaf pieces were cut at 2.75".  Lastly, the acorns and acorn caps were cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy collection (page 36) at 1" and 1.25" from Desert Sand and Chocolate cardstock.  Ink colors I used include Chocolate, Desert Sand, and Glacier.

...and here are the four card designs
(below) that I offered for Card Class!
These cards use the White Pines
and Sangria paper collections...

Happy Fall and Thanksgiving everyone!!
