*With All My Love* Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy our
October Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
featuring this month's SOTM:
With All My Love S2010

If you've just arrived here from
then you are on the correct path.

Today I'm sharing the standard-size anniversary card
I made for my husband. I'm a tad early, lol. Jose and I will
be celebrating 26 years of married life on December 17th!
When I saw this stamp set, I immediately knew that it
would be perfect for making our anniversary card this year.
Back in 1994, we chose Red and Black for our wedding
colors, so I also chose to use (similar colors)...
using the NEW Comfort and Joy paper packet (X7261S)
with our NEW Wood Grain papers (X8017)
that I absolutely LOVE so so much!!

I also wanted to show you that you really can use
this Christmas-themed paper collection in a
NON-Christmas-y way!!

My stamping was done with Archival Black ink, and the
coloring done with (NEW Deep Blends) Yellow Green and
Vintage Blue TriBlend markers from Spectrum Noir.
I also used a clear Versamark ink pad with white embossing
powder to heat emboss "Happy Anniversary" on Scarlet
cardstock. Can you see how I also used fussy cutting and
paper-piecing technique to make my largest flowers
"pop" using the Scarlet red patterned paper? Finally,
I embellished with (also a NEW favorite!) White
Flower Sequins (Z3872) with small Black Dots
used for their centers (Z3314).

5 Cards featuring the "Yesterday & Today" papers!

Today I’m sharing 5 of the 10 card-designs we were
supposed to be creating at our March 21st Triple Treat Workshop,
BUT since it had to be canceled, many of my
creative friends will be picking up their kits from
me and making these cards from home!

These cards feature the “Yesterday & Today”

paper collection. Card-makers who have
purchased this kit from me will be making 20 cards
(2 each of 10 designs). I should still have a few of these
kits left-over (20 cards for $40), so if you'd like to
purchase a kit "to go" please feel welcome to contact me.

*Family Legacy* Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy our
March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
featuring this month's SOTM:
Family Legacy S2003

If you've just arrived here from
then you are on the correct path.

Today I'm sharing a standard-size card I created
using the SOTM and the (NEW this month)
Yesterday & Today paper pack!!
I also added a little bit of Mint-colored cardstock
for an extra pop of color. Also featured on my card
is our NEW Classic Alphabet Thin Cuts, that I am
so thrilled with and just couldn't wait to use finally!

The images below will give you a clearer idea
of how I stamped just part of the word "Love."
First, I covered (adhered sticky side to stamp)
just part of my image (the letter L) with a yellow post-it
note, then inked it up with an Espresso ink pad, and then
removed the post-it note before stamping on my project.

I hope that my card and this simple
masking technique inspires you!

May SOTM Blog Hop featuring Live, Laugh, Love!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy our
May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
featuring this month's SOTM:
Live, Laugh, Love S1705

If you've just arrived here from
then you are on the correct path.

If you get lost along the way, you can find
a complete list of all of the participating
consultant blogs here on MELINDA's BLOG.

Today I'm sharing this two-pocket card that is folded from a 7.5" paper circle! (cutting dimensions and instructions follow in one of the images below). I make a lot of standard-size cards, so this is something totally new and different for me! The finished size of the card is just a tad smaller than standard-size, so the great news is that this card will fit nicely in any standard-size envelope!

To create my card, I used just one sheet of paper from the
NEW No Worries paper packet (X7220B). The marker colors I used include Leaf Green, Marine Blue, Peacock Green, and Turquoise Blue. I also used White Daisy and Outdoor Denim (retired) cardstocks, but Sapphire or Lagoon cardstock could have worked just as well as the Outdoor Denim. Enjoy!!

April SOTM Blog Hop featuring Flock Together!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy our
April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
featuring this month's SOTM:
Flock Together S1704

If you've just arrived here from
then you are on the correct path.

If you get lost along the way, you can find
a complete list of all of the participating
consultant blogs here on MELINDA's BLOG.

For today's blog hop, I've created these two standard-size cards (above)! The colors I used include Cranberry and Pacifica cardstock along with a few scraps of the Uptown Fundamentals paper (Z3263). I also used the Black memento ink pad, Cranberry ink (2nd generation for the hearts), and Glacier and Pacifica ink pads. The marker colors I used include Cherry Pink, Marine Blue, Pastel Peach, and Turquoise Blue.

One exciting discovery I made while creating with this stamp set was that the smallest die included in the Thin Cuts - Basic Circles set (Z3318) is the perfect size to cut paper to stamp the "Love this" stamp on. I also used the smallest two heart dies from the Thin Cuts - Basic Hearts set (Z3317) to cut out the black hearts on my cards (above) as well.

Lastly, here are two more cards (above) that I created with
this stamp set and already shared on my blog previously.
You can find and read more details about these cards in
my previous blog posting found at this link HERE.

Background Stamping with the April Stamp of the Month!

Today I'm "So Happy" to share these two standard-size cards that I created for the weekly Heart 2 Heart Blog Challenge! The challenge this week was to create something using background stamping (also, sometimes known as random stamping),
and this was my final result!

I used the upcoming April Stamp of the Month, Flock Together (S1704) from Close to my Heart, to stamp these fun rainbow backgrounds (above). The ink colors I used (in order from bottom to top) are Pansy, Pacifica, Willow, Lemon, Goldrush, and Cranberry. I simply started at the bottom of each piece of 4" x 5.25" white daisy cardstock and stamped the trio of hearts close together from left to right, then started each new row with a new color (and there's not much that's "random" about that, lol). It really is amazing what can be done with just one little stamp! I hope you're inspired by my cards and will have fun doing some background stamping of your own!
