A Layout a Day...with Studio J...a Challenge and a Contest!!

Back in February, I was feeling overwhelmed by all of my photos again...

you probably know the feeling...

Too many photos taken and not nearly enough time to organize them, not enough money to

print the right ones, and then find the time to scrapbook them all. So I challenged myself once again to really put Studio J to good use. I've made quite a few pages with Studio J already and have always been thrilled with the results, but I hadn't really added it to my normal routine, so I hadn't really stuck to the new habit as successfully as I had hoped to.
So I decided to give myself a new challenge to:

CREATE ONE Studio J LAYOUT EACH DAY for ONE WEEK!

If I could make time for that, then surely I would find a way to get more done every month

(even 7 layouts in one month would be an improvement and progress for me).

THE RESULT...

14 COMPLETED PAGES!!

and...

...a feeling of GREAT accomplishment!!

...a much-needed reminder how EASY and FUN scrapbooking is with Studio J!

...the desire to SHOW off my pages and to

TELL all of my friends how amazing Studio J is!

...and the desire to INSPIRE others to save more of their
memories now also with Studio J!!

So now, here's MY CHALLENGE TO YOU:

CREATE ONE LAYOUT EACH DAY for ONE WEEK!

(anytime during the month of April!) 

If you know that one layout a day is impossible for you,

then TRY for just one layout every two days,

and in just two weeks you will have your seven layouts done!

If you can start this week, you'll have three full weeks to work on them

and may even be able to complete more than seven!

Congratulations Penny and Roberta!!

Those of you who came to my Autumn/Winter Product Preview Workshop last September 4th may remember that I issued a challenge to all who attended. Two of the cards we created at the workshop that day were designs that were inspired by the Magnifique Workshops-on-the-go brochure (see brochure and the cards we made below). I challenged each of you in attendance to create another card using that same pattern with any CTMH stamps, papers, and embellishments you have to use. This challenge was to be our first ever customer card contest!! I was hoping to have lots and lots of contest entries and even sent out a few e-mail reminders to attendees, but alas, I ended up with just TWO beautiful card contest entries. None the less, these two cards are absolutely fabulous so therefore...I decided to give the grand prize to both contestants!
A big Congratulations goes out to Penny Gallegos and Roberta Clark who created the lovely cards you see posted above! Each of them is receiving a $12.50 credit from me (splitting the $25 grand prize) to reward them for their awesome efforts! They can use their credit towards any workshop, class, or purchase of their choice. Your cards were both so equally excellent, I just didn't want to have to choose between the two of you. Well done ladies, well done!!!

Mistletoe cards for my 9/4 product preview workshop!

Here's a sneak peek at two of the cards we'll be creating at my big Product Preview Workshop coming up on September 4th! The first is a standard size card (4.25"x5.5") featuring the Mistletoe Creative Basics papers and ribbon (X5811) and "Harmony" stamp set (B1363). The card design is inspired by Wishes - Sentiment Secured (p. 78) and the bird is made with the "paper-piecing" technique. The next card is a 3x6 card inspired by Wishes - Nameplate (p. 18). It uses the Mistletoe Level 2 paper packet (X7130B) and "Captured Moments" stamp set (C1423).

I do still have just a few spots available for this workshop on Saturday, Sept. 4th (1pm-5pm) at the Holiday Inn Express in Lenwood. The registration fee is $25 to create a variety of 8 different projects including a 2-page 12x12 scrapbook layout, six greeting cards, and a fun surprise gift-type item using all-new stamps, papers, and embellishments from the NEW autumn/winter Idea Book! We will also have lots of good food and beverages for you to enjoy as well! • It's here, it's here, it's finally here!! STUDIO J is NOW READY and AVAILABLE for EVERYONE to use and I can't wait for you to check it out for yourself!! Remember that it is absolutely FREE to access and try out with nothing to buy or download on your computer.
