The "All About Me" Album Opportunity!

Did you miss out on the
"All About Me" album classes
(for adults and kids/tweens/teens!)
that I offered this past August?

I only promoted this class through Facebook,
so if you're not connected with me there,
you might have missed it.

Well, I still have a few extra kits and materials
available for anyone who might be interested!
Read on to learn more...

It is so important to scrapbook about YOU and tell YOUR story!! We know this, but even so, most of the time WE (the moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas), are behind the camera instead of in front of it. We take lots of pictures that document our family and friends, the special days, events, and holidays…and that's ALL good…so very good…and sometimes we even end up in a photo or two…sometimes…BUT all too often we don’t take enough pictures that include ourselves and we neglect to put the focus on “us” to really tell OUR story, so that our kids and future generations can really know us, know who we are, what we loved, what we did, and what we valued! THIS new class I’m offering is the PERFECT opportunity to get started telling your story now! THIS little album we’re making will become a treasured keepsake for generations to come (and in the process, this project will remind us that WE really matter! WE are just as wonderful, unique, and important as all of the cherished loved ones we’ve been photographing and scrapbooking about already)!

Life is not remembered one day at a time, but by small moments at a time. Preserving those little "memory moments" is what it’s all about. Our Everyday Life albums, 6” x 8” page inserts, pocket pages, and memory protectors offer a fast and easy way to save our favorite photos, PLUS lots of little things like ticket stubs, post cards, a napkin from a favorite restaurant, grocery lists, receipts, favorite stamps/stickers, quotes you love, little notes from your kids/friends, pictures they’ve drawn for you, greeting cards, favorite thoughts and scriptures and creative ideas that inspire you, goals you’ve set for yourself, and so much MORE! If any of the memorabilia you want to include is too large or not practical to include in the book (things like a trophy, your craziest socks, a quilt/craft you made, or something that you grew in your garden), then just take a photo of it!! Then, at class you’ll grab your adhesive and/or some washi tape to attach your mementos on the colorful pages, and there’s no real "designing" or “organizing skills” required either! This album can be a scrapbook in the truest sense of the word…little “scraps” and “bits & pieces” of your life, along with any photos that document who you are and what your life is like.

START NOW by collecting little “bits and pieces” of YOU…YOUR favorite memories and things! Over the next few weeks collect, find, gather, and save anything that makes you happy…AND take some current photos IF you need to! Cut photos of your favorite things from a magazine or print some off from the internet (don't forget to take and print photos of your current home/car/school/workplace, and especially take photos of YOU and your favorite people/pets too!!) The photos can "go with" your memorabilia, or NOT...let go of that perfectionism…your album CAN always be just random photos and stuff in no particular order! Simply grab a box or a large envelope and start adding your goodies into it NOW and every day until we meet!

In order to prepare for these classes, I began by creating my own pages for an "All About Me" album. I decided that I wanted my album to focus on my childhood memories and who I was while growing up (because these are photos and memorabilia I have procrastinated saving for a long time). Like mine, your album can include older photos and memories you have, of course, but don't be afraid to use only current and new photos and memories of yourself instead, if childhood photos and memorabilia are difficult for you to get access to or get copies of. Start with what you have and what is easiest for you right now, as this will ensure that you succeed from the start! (then you can go back and preserve older photos when you are a more experienced and confident scrapper). Our children and grandchildren will want to know who we are NOW, just as much as who we were long ago.

Here are a few of my favorite pages (so far)
that I hope might inspire you:

Would you like to start an
album project similar to this?!

I'm happy to help you get started now! The kit options I have to offer for this project start at just $50 (or less!) Each kit purchased from me includes all of the materials you will need to create your own album (plus my expert help/assistance if you want and need it!)...which makes my kits such a great bargain!! Holiday Expressions New Product Blog Hop!

THANK YOU
for stopping by to enjoy
our Holiday Expressions
New Product Blog Hop!

If you've just arrived here

from JACQUELIN's BLOG
then you are on the correct path.

Today, 25 consultant artists are sharing artwork
they've created using all-new products from our
NEW Holiday Expressions Catalog!

Today, I'm sharing SIX
Harry Potter-themed cards I designed
using paper and embellishments
left-over after I created just the scrapbook
pages using the Jeepers Creepers
Workshops Your Way Scrapbooking Kit
(Item #G1110):
Start by cutting all of the layout pieces ONLY shown in the Jeepers Creepers WYW instruction guide (do NOT cut the darker-shaded card pieces labeled 4, 5, and 6!!). Then, using the scraps that are left over, you should have enough paper to cut pieces to create TWO of each card design shown here. The key is to cut each of the papers one sheet at a time (starting with Card #1 first, then Card #2, and so on). ALWAYS cut the smaller measurement first (that's how I got it to work out). Also, when you're cutting the smaller measurements first, make sure you are paying attention to which way the stripes and zig zags are going! If you keep the stripes pointing the same directions as my card samples show, you should have just enough paper. Make sure you cut the second (duplicate piece for each card) right away from the same strip you cut the first one, before moving on to cutting the next pieces.

In addition to 12 standard-size card bases and envelopes (item #X254), you will also need one sheet of Black 12x12 cardstock and some clear Sparkles ((item #Z3274). You will also need some very minimal scraps of Black, Lemon, and Tangerine cardstocks to make your Cricut Artistry cuts. The only stamped and colored-in image is the sorting hat on Card #2, so unlike most of the creations I share on my blog, these cards require very minimal stamping!

Leave your email address in the comments below (or email me!) if you want to request that I send you a copy of the full instructions (an MSword document). This file will also include a page that you will print two of (in black and white) on White Daisy cardstock to create your sentiments for each card. Enjoy!!

SPECIAL TIP

for stamping on the envelopes:

Insert it inside the envelope before stamping
and coloring your flowers on the outside.

through to the inside/backside of your envelope.

September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy our
September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
featuring this month's SOTM:
Blessed Beyond Measure S1609

If you've just arrived here from
KATHY's BLOG
then you are on the correct path.

Today I'm sharing this simple standard-size card I created
featuring the Rustic Home and Jeepers Creepers papers.
You can see the Rustic Home paper collection on page 28 of
the Annual Inspirations Idea Book and Jeepers Creepers can be found
in our NEW Holiday Expressions Idea Book shown on pages 6-7
...click HERE to see them in the new Idea Books online now!

Here's my trick for making the bow: First, cut 7" of twine ribbon from the spool (Rustic Home Ribbon Pack). Then cut the ribbon in half down the center, so there are just three strands on each side. This will allow you to create TWO bows from one piece of ribbon and stretch your ribbon even farther. Tie the pieces into bows and attach with a mini glue dot.

Annual Inspirations 2016 New Product Blog Hop!!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy our
Annual Inspirations 2016
New Product Blog Hop!!

Today, 25 consultant artists are sharing artwork
they've created using NEW products
featured in the Annual Inspirations 2016 catalog
from Close to my Heart!

If you've just arrived here from BRENDA's BLOG
then you are on the correct path.

For me, one of the most exciting new additions
to our basic CTMH product line, was the
NEW Color of the year!...SEA GLASS!!

It's a beautiful shade of light teal that I
immediately fell in love with and couldn't
wait to use. I also joined a team card swap
this month, so I needed to come up with a
card design to duplicate (16 times) and
mail to my fellow consultant swappers.

First, I gathered a few materials I knew I wanted
to use (including SEA GLASS glitter paper Z3240
and a SEA GLASS mini pigment ink pad Z2507)
and then began experimenting. I colored the sea shells
above and below with watercolor paints and let dry.
(NEW stamp sets I used are
Swirly Seashells C1664,
and Way to Go D1700).

As you can see, this project involved A LOT of watercoloring and hours of
detailed cutting!! BUT it was a labor of love and I was really pleased with
the end result...a lovely card I was proud to send/share with my
fellow consultant artists. I hope it inspires you too! Enjoy!!

August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

THANK YOU for stopping by to enjoy
our August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop
featuring this month's SOTM:
Purr-fect Halloween S1608

I am the 23rd of 24 fellow consultant artists
participating in this month's hop!
If you have just joined us, you can start here and continue on
to the next blog participant (as this is a circular hop), and so on.
If you've just arrived here from JEAN's BLOG
then you are on the correct path.

First, I've created this standard-size this card (above) using all-NEW products,
including the NEW Rustic Home Fundamentals papers (Z3262) with Pansy and Tangerine
cardstocks (NEW colors X5782 and X5786). The hat and mask were colored with Lavender
and Marigold ShinHan Touch Twin markers. As you can see, the heart was cut from
Tangerine cardstock using the smallest of the NEW Hearts Thin Cuts (Z3260).

This card (above) is a tad different than the first version of it
that I shared above. I later decided to give this cat a "batty" bow-tie! lol.

I also want to show you that this stamp can be used for more than just Halloween
The products I used above include the NEW Rustic Home Fundamentals papers (Z3262)
with NEW Sea Glass cardstock (X5789) and a little bit of Retired "Cloud Nine" B&T paper
(to make the crazy-looking cat). Notice also that the grey cat on the left card was colored
with watercolor paints, while the one on the right was colored
with a Warm Grey (WG4) marker.

Finally, here's a view of all of the images included in this fun stamp set:

CARD-MAKERS...
Choose from a variety of FOUR (or more) NEW card designs each month! The Florence Cards shown (below) are just the basic "inspiration" I will use to design the card choices.
I like to take them up a notch with additional stamping, techniques, and embellishing, so you can choose to create your cards "quick and simple "(like they are shown here) or make them a little fancier by following my design  suggestions that I will teach/show you at the class. You always get to choose which cards you want to make and how many of each! First come, first serve...while my supply lasts!

Most cards will continue to be just $1.50 per card!
(special pricing of just $1 per card is offered when a customer orders/purchases $25 or more worth of product from me either 1-2 weeks before or the day-of the workshop!)
I may occasionally offer "special" cards or gifty-type projects that are $2 or $3 each due to their larger size, a lot of cricut cuts, extra paper layers, and/or embellishing.
Please bring your own adhesive to use or plan to purchase some from me at the class.

This is a once-a-month class all year long (featuring one or more new paper collections every month!) - the EASIEST & most fun way to learn new creative techniques and create beautiful hand-made cards among friends!

Lastly,
please bring an inexpensive potluck dish, appetizer, or dessert to share if you are able to so we'll have a good variety of food to snack on while we create!!
